Job: Business Analyst

Working primarily as Managing General Agents with underwriting authority, MacNeill Group produces business through over 2000 licensed independent property and casualty agencies throughout Florida. We also can provide program administration services, assistance with new company formations, program/product development (including rates, forms, and filings) as well as statistical and analytical support services.

This position is responsible for a wide range of ongoing insurance based analytical tasks. Main area of responsibility is to develop, maintain, and edit requirement documents for technology projects.

Must have a college degree or 1 year experience in the insurance field in non-entry level position(s).

Must have experience writing business requirements and functional specifications for business applications.

Must have knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and of approaches to identifying requirements and documenting system design.

Must be proficient in Excel and Word within 90 days of hire.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have excellent organizational skills.

Must have excellent analytical/comprehension skills.

Must have strong intellectual capability, maturity and judgment.

Must have good decision making skills.

Good mental reasoning skills (reading complex/writing complex/analysis/comprehension/judgment/decision making).

Accounting, insurance, or actuarial experience (preferred, not required).

Ability to work well with others, cooperatively, professionally, and courteously.

Work overtime as requested.
