Plaza Store Manager Manager – Boston Culinary Group- Land Shark Stadium, Miami, FL
Since our inception in 1961, Boston Culinary Group (BCG) is a full-service food beverage and merchandise Company which specializes in the recreation and leisure industry. BCG has a terrific opportunity for an experienced proven Retail Manager at the one of the busiest stadium in the nation- Land Shark Stadium located in Miami, FL. Land Shark Stadium hosts the Miami Dolphins, University of Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Marlins.
This year, Land Shark Stadium will host the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and Orange Bowl. The stadium holds approximately 75,000 seats. BCG is the premier food and beverage service and retail provider.

Summary: Supervises and manages sales, operations, merchandising and human resource functions of Plaza Store to ensure maximum profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assigns duties to workers and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations.

• Trains workers in store policies, department procedures, and job duties.

• Orders merchandise, supplies, and equipment.

• Records delivery of merchandise, compares record with merchandise ordered, and reports discrepancies to control costs and maintain correct inventory levels.

• Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed.

• Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in department.

• Prepares sales and inventory reports.

• Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote an outstanding guest experience.

• Assists sales workers in completing difficult sales.

• Sells merchandise. Trains and motivates staff to up sell.

• Approves checks written for payment of merchandise purchased in department.

• Manages all aspects of the point of sale system.

• Plans department layout or merchandise or advertising display.

• Keeps all controllable expenses within guidelines (i.e., labor, goods, pay out)

• Ensures stock so processed as necessary to ensure full presentation of merchandise on the floor at all times.

• Protects store’s funds and property by training and enforcing all loss prevention policies, procedures and controls.

• Controls and manages damaged merchandise.

• Maintains a well organized, clean neat store appearance.

• Ensures a visual impact of the entire store is maintained.

• Ensures merchandise is properly placed and replenished.

• Trains associates in visual guiding principles so that a visually appealing store can be maintained at all times.

• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, motivates and coaches supervisors and associates.

Qualifications:
• To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :

• Exceptional experience in customer service.

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 7 +years Retail /Merchandise experience at a manager’s level.

• Excellent written, oral, organizational skills.

• Experience in Word, Excel; Inventory software and Payroll systems.

• Experience in supervising and motativing a staff of 100 employees in the Plaza Store

• Must be able to stand and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, operated and, lift and carry 30lbs., hang/fold merchandise, climbing, reaching, pushing and pulling.

• Established history in store merchandising.

• Passion and sense of urgency for driving results.

• Excellent leadership qualities and team building skills.

• Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
