Job: Retail Accounting Analyst

ModernAd Media is a performance based company located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The Retail Accounting Analyst is part of an accounting team responsible for managing operational retail accounting functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Analyzing merchant banking reports
2. Profit & loss and balance sheet analysis
3. Analyzing monthly inventory and explanation of shrinkage
4. Maintaining systems and controls which verify processes and financial data
5. POS transactions, inventory management, internal reporting, reconciliation, bank accounting and sales tax

Minimum of 5 years retail accounting experience public and/or private

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

Work Experience in the Retail Industry

Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Advanced Excel skills

Quick Books experience

Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of financial concepts in the Retail Industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

Strong organizational skills, ability to handle details and the ability to multi-task

Strong team player and who can work independently
