Educational Opportunity: Fast Track: 2 week program to a new Career: Home Health Aide

Caregiver Services, Inc. was established to provide training and employability skills in the high demand field of health care. Originally established to meet the internal needs of the affiliated home health registry, the school was launched in recognition of a demand in the community that they could meet. BELL Education Center achieved licensure in 2001.

Learning is a continuous process. Our primary purpose is to develop and enhance the abilities of each individual while at the same time providing them with skills that are in high demand and will assist them in their ability to obtain and retain employment.

Home Health Aide Program:
Through our HHA program , you can earn all of the certification necessary to work in an in-home health care environment.

Program Objectives: As a result of training the student will be able to:

1. Demonstration knowledge of:
The health care delivery system
Health occupations and the role of, and limitation on Aides and Assistants
Basic human anatomy and physiology
Domestic Violence
Nutrition
Natural process of aging
Cultural Diversity
Abbreviations : Medical Terminology
Body Mechanics
Safety and Emergency Procedures
Patient care and support/restoration within orders established on Plan of Care

2. Demonstrate knowledge and hands on proficiency and correct technique at:
CPR / Foreign body obstruction recognition/treatment/Abdominal Thrusts (Heimlich)
Vital Signs (temperature, pulse, respiration)
Documentation
Communication
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living
Basic patient care techniques

3. Complete participation in 4 hour Federally mandate in-service education including but not limited to components as required on background, etiology, recognition and appropriate actions associated with:
Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS)

4. Complete a written examination on course material with 75% or higher correct.

**Upon successful completion of program Certificates will be issued to Student for Completion of approved program as well a a 4 hour HIV/AIDS/OSHA/TB in-service and 2 hours of Domestic Violence and C.P.R. card.
