Job: Director of Wellness/RN

We are currently seeking a Director of Wellness that plans, directs and evaluates the overall operation of a Wellness Center in an Independent Living Retirement Community. The Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and is staffed with an LPN on each shift. The Wellness Center handles resident emergencies, first aid, resident incident reporting and follow up, coordination of visiting physician services and support and health/wellness education for residents and families.

Must have experience in a Retirement Community with independent living residents.

Must display genuine interest in seniors and compassion for the aging; must possess an openness in maintaining a multi-disciplined team approach to health care of the elderly; must possess ability to maintain/strengthen good working relationship with staff, residents and families; must possess good skills in planning, organizing, directing and managing all staff work assignments.

Must possess a good sense of efficiency and in successfully completing all work assignments; must be knowledgeable and supportive of the Community's philosophy and objectives; must be flexible and open to change; must be knowledgeable of current regulatory standards; may be required to be on call during off hours
