Job: Application Programmer

Modcomp, Inc. headquartered in Deerfield Beach, is currently seeking a dynamic professional as a Process Control Application Programmer.

This software engineering position involves the maintenance of and enhancements to application software that consists of I/O drivers, GUI applications, utility programs and database facilities. Job activities include product planning, evaluation, development and direct customer contact.

The candidate should be a person who is interested in factory automation technology and enjoys a challenge! The programmer will receive the necessary guidance and support training required while increasing his or her technical expertise and becoming capable of working independently

Minimal Requirements:

„X BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
„X Real world experience as a Systems Integrator with a working knowledge of PLC¡¦s and process control application software
„X 3+ years programming including C, C++ and scripting language
„X Understanding of high and low level programming
„X Good interpersonal skills required
„X Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Experience Pluses
„X Systems Integrator background
„X Liquid Chromatography knowledge
„X Microsoft Visual Studio
„X OPC
