Department: Home Health/TSR - 2500
Schedule: Per Diem Shift: Variable Hours: Salary: Position Summary: Provides appropriate and efficient evaluations, treatments, and associated occupational therapy services. Participates and supports rehabilitation program development. Position Expectations and Requirements: Expected to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Expected to have basic mathematical skills. Expected to learn computer program related to the type of work in the department, including Patient Care Manager, Physician's portal, PHS, and Star Navigator. Expected to have knowledge in Microsoft Office. Expected to use assessment tools to evaluate need for intervention, an or potential change in intervention plan Expected to demonstrate knowledge of performance areas, components, and contexts that impact daily work, productive activities, and play or leisure activities Expected to demonstrate knowledge of processes to facilitate change, as from one functional level to another. Expected to provide timely and appropriate evaluations and treatments in compliance with department policy and standards of practice. Expected to complete appropriate and required documentation in compliance with department policy. Expected to participate in relevant meetings in a contributory manner and is consistent with the pursuit of quality patient care. Expected to assist in all other department functions on a daily basis and completes these tasks within department deadlines. Expected to participate in and supports departmental program development. Expected to coordinate and mentors student interns. Expected to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Expected to communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers in a professional manner. Minimum Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university for Occupational Therapy. Licensure/Regulation/Certification: Florida license BLS from the American Heart Association. *Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. *The person in this position may be asked to work in a smoke-free location and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
