Job: Purchasing Buyer

Location: Miami Beach, FL
Description

Basic Job Function:
Ensure the integrity of the perpetual inventory records. Ensure accuracy of all invoices routed through the receiving cycle. Produce all daily, monthly and periodical food and beverage cost control related reports.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum two years of hotel or restaurant Food and Beverage buying experience.
Good working knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), General Ledger, Excel, Word and Outlook software.
Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and inventory cycles, basics of related general ledger functions and a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Associate degree or equivalent in related field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Tasks/Responsibilities:
·& Ensure all Food and Beverage Requisitions are entered into the computer system daily.
·& Analyze the Executive Chef's market orders for adherence to established procedures.
·& Ensure all recipes for Food and Beverage menu items are entered into the computer system.
·& Ensure the Food & Beverage cost control system is interfaced with Micros.
·& Report daily on the actual food cost, based on daily purchases and revenues.
·& Ensure all bottles at all bars have Setai labels.
·& Ensure all bartenders pour drinks when orders are printed.
·& Ensure empty liquor bottles are returned for full. In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
