Schedule: Per Diem Shift: Day Shift Hours: Salary: - American Heart Association BLS - ARRT Required - Must possess a valid State of Florida License Position Summary: The Mammographer is accountable for the delivery of skilled professional patient care. Position Expectations and Responsibilities: Expected to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Expected to to write routine reports and correspondence. Expected to have basic mathematical skills. Expected to demonstrate competency in PHS, PORTAL, RIS and INTRANET Expected to demonstrate the ability to perform all Mammography procedures as outlined in the technical procedure manual Expected to demonstrate the ability to adhere to standards of radiation protection Expected to demonstrate the ability to critique any exam for proper technical factors Expected to provide consistent high quality images in a timely manner. Expected to demonstrate the ability to utilize the Digital Mammography equipment in a proficient manner. Trouble shoots as necessary. Expected to demonstrate the ability to stay on time with the daily schedule. Expected to ensure that work area (includes exam room, changing areas, waiting rooms and tech work stations) is kept clean and neat at all times. Expected to demonstrate teamwork throughout the Center. Expected to ensure that Tech Holds are dealt with daily or in a timely manner. Does not allow them to pile up for more than 1 week. Expected to assist supervisor in maintaining an adequate level of supplies required for patient care, does not over stock. Expected to ensure that relevant exam information is captured at time of exam. Expected to assist Radiologists in performing exams providing clinical excellence. Expected to demonstrate accountability by attending departmental meetings. Expected to demonstrate flexibility in work schedule to meet unpredictable demands of the department's operation. Expected to ensure that the Center meets all regulatory requirements. (JCAHO, MQSA, FDA, ACR) Expected to demonstrate Services Recovery efforts in addressing patients' complaints according to Hospital policy. Expected to serve as a resource person to patients, coworkers, radiologists, and any other customer. Expected to communicate information verbally and in writing with all staff members, physicians, and patients. Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college OR Satisfactory completion of an approved program in mammography Licensure/Regulation/Certification: BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Must possess a valid State of Florida License, Maintain registry in ARRT and Mammography *Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. *The person in this position may be asked to work in a smoke-free location and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
