CARD CATH - RN(Specialty) II, Cardiac Catheterization

JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

A registered nurse who, after additional education and/or training is specialized in cardiovascular interventional nursing practice. Provides direct nursing care for adult & geriatric patients. Works directly with physicians in planning and implementing patient care. Acts as a resource to peers and as preceptor to new employees. Maintains RN II competencies as defined by education council. Under direction of the Nurse Manager of the Cardiovascular Interventional Suite provides direction and guidance of CV technicians/technologists and other ancillary staff.


SHIFT HOURS: 10:00AM-8:30PM

POSITION REQUIREMENT - CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Certifications: BLS required. ACLS required. CCRN preferred
Licenses: FL RN required.
Registrations: None






POSITION REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILLS

Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE TRAINING:

At least two years of critical care nursing or emergency services experience required. Experience/training in cardiovascular interventional procedures preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Computer knowledge preferred. BLS required, HIV update required, ACLS required.
