Job: Water Plant Operator - Okeechobee

• Operates water plant equipment and machinery that includes turbine pumps, high service pumps, aerators, chlorinators, booster pumps and auxiliary engines.
• Conducts and records gauge and meter readings and maintains records on specific operations.
• Collects water samples for laboratory and bacteriological analysis.
• Operates pumps and valves to regulate the water flow, pressure and levels throughout the system.
• Maintains, lubricates and assists in equipment and machinery repairs.
• Prepares and submits daily operational reports.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Some knowledge of water plant facilities operation and maintenance.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to prepare and maintain work related records and reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalent GED. Possession of a valid State of Florida Water Plant Operator "C" Certificate of License or equal USET recognized state highly preferred. A minimum of six (6) months experience required. RO or NANO filtration experience a plus. Possession of a valid Driver License. English written and oral communication skills. Able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary. Ability to work a flexible work schedule and to work evenings weekends and holidays
