The newly-remodeled War Memorial Auditorium (W.M.A.) is a multi-purpose facility owned and operated by the City of Fort Lauderdale. The W.M.A. was built in 1949 and opened to the public on January 14, 1950. The lobby area, with its ornate marble, bronze statue, wall plaques and floor seal, is a commemoration of World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans, thus the naming of the building, "War Memorial Auditorium." The auditorium has 20,000 square feet of potential exhibit space, able to accommodate up to 125 8'x10' booths. A large outdoor display area is also available. They have over 330 banquet tables. They also have the capability to seat 2110 for any seated concerts, seminars, lectures, graduations, family shows, boxing bouts, wrestling matches, and other events. Contact Us
