Blog Post: Is Your Resume Getting Your Phone Ringing?

A client called us last week because her resume was not producing results. At the end of the day her phone was not ringing, and she wanted us to help her  to figure out why.

After reviewing her resume we noticed three things:

1.  Her resume didn’t have a target job. She had an objective statement that read “Exciting and  
     challenging position with a dynamic organization offering growth and advancement”. An 
     employer reading this would see “Blah Blah Blah Blah”.
2.  The resume has a couple of innocent spelling errors.
3.  The formatting screamed “Word Template”.
