The health unit coordinator will assist the staff by providing accurate, timely medical order transcription, utilizing the computerized order entry system, acting as receptionist and caring for department office equipment and supplies as directed. The health unit coordinator will be responsible for order transcription and related duties. Must be able to prioritize and organize tasks in a logical and efficient manner. Must maintain a calm and friendly attitude while performing multiple tasks. High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Completion of Health Unit Coordinator training program or equivalent experience. Proficiency in all computer software systems utilized for order entry and patient care, including but not limited to: *Care Manager *HBOC-Star Navigator *Intranet and Internet applications
