Plans, organizes and directs all activities within the department. Responsible for the efficient utilization of resources within and the effective customer service given by the department. The Director of Surgical Services has the overall responsibility for all aspects of Perioperative Services of both Inpatients and Outpatients. As the Director, this person supervises a staff that includes: Nurse Managers, Charge Nurse, Specialty Clinicians, Registered Nurses, Perioperative Materials Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinators, Administrative Assistant, Departments Assistants, Surgical Support Specialist Lead Technician, Surgical Support Specialists, Anesthesia Technicians, Perioperative Assistants. Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Fl Licensure *Certification in clinical or professional specialty
